Cherry Pie Cookie Cups

Oh my goodness, these were so good, a sugar cookie crust, filled with delicious cherry filling, and a yummy glaze. So simple to make and taste so good.



Ingredients:

1 ( 16.5 ounce) roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1 ( 21 ounce) Cherry pie filling
1 cup powdered sugar
1 Tablespoon melted butter
1-2 Tablespoons milk


Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray 24 mini muffin pans with cooking spray
2. Divide cookie dough in half, then cut each half in 12 slices
3. Roll each slice into a ball, then place each ball into the mini muffin tin
4. Bake for 15 minutes, after taking out of oven, with the back of spoon make an indentation then fill the indentation with 1 Tablespoon of cherry pie filling. return to the oven and cook an additional 3-5 minutes.
5. Cool slightly, In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, melted butter and milk, until on the thinner side, if to thin add more powdered sugar. Store in refrigerator until half hour before serving

These are AMAZING! I made my own cookie dough and then iced the top to look like a lattice. Thanks so much for the recipe. I'm going to make these next time with blueberry pie filling.
