Banana Oatmeal Smoothie

A nutritious smoothie that is delicious for the morning to keep you going for the day. Almonds are high in vitamin D, known to lower LDL cholesterol and known for so many health benefits, oats are high in fiber and also lower cholesterol, and bananas are high in potassium and low in salt and also have many health benefits. And honey has many minerals like iron and calcium and has antioxidant properties. So this smoothie is not only delicious but great for you.


2 ripe bananas
2 cups ice
1/3 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup cooked oatmeal
1/3 cup raw almonds
1 Tablespoon honey
2 Dates ( optional)


1. Place all ingredients in a blender, ice in last
2. Blend starting from low to high until smoothie is thick and creamy
