Greek Salad Skewers

These Greek Salad Skewers are a perfect addition for any dinner party or special occasion. So simple to make and can be made ahead of time, then taken out when ready to serve. Very few ingredients, s if your having a party and a lot of things to do, these would work great.

Ingredients:

12 grape tomatoes
4 ounces of feta cheese, cut into 12 (1/2 inch cubes)
mini kirby cucumbers cut into 12 pieces
12 kalamata olives
3 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 1/2 teaspoons Za'atar ( A middle Eastern Spice) If you cannot find you can use 1/4 teaspoon oregano, 1/4 teaspoon parsley, 1/8 teaspoon basil, 1/8 teaspoon sesame seeds ( if desired) coarse salt and pepper and mix together.
small wood or bamboo skewers

Directions:

1. Starting with 1 skewer place the tomato, feta, cucumber then olive, then repeat with all of the remaining ingredients, and set aside on a plate.
2. Place all skewers on a platter, when ready to serve drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with the spice mixture

Za'atar is a spice mixture of sumac, sesame seeds, and herbs. So if you find in a middle eastern market or section of your local grocery store it is worth to have on hand, because it is delicious on veggies, meat, pork, and chicken.
