Dark Chocolate Trail Mix Energy Bites


These dark chocolate energy bites are full of antioxidants to get you going for the day. Take a few with you if your on the road and need a boost of energy and are craving a snack. Super easy to make and few ingredients. They are better and cheaper than buying from the store. And you are adding your favorite trail mix.


Ingredients:

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
1/4 cup trail mix ( can use any kind)

Directions:

1. Line a cookie sheet with wax paper and set aside
2. In a small microwave bowl add the chocolate chips and melt in 15 second intervals, stirring each time until smooth.
3. Using a teaspoon scoop up a teaspoon full of the chocolate and make circles, the size of a little bigger than a quarter, on the wax paper keep swirling the spoon starting from the outside in, making sure to fill in to make a solid coin shape. Then place pieces of the trail mix and press them into the chocolate lightly. Let set for about 60 minutes, you can place in the refrigerator to set quicker. Then after they are set Enjoy!!
