Pull Apart Rolls

These are those soft and fluffy rolls that are so delicious when they come out of the oven warm, and you spread soft butter on them. Oh lord, I can eat a lot of these soft rolls. They are easy to make, once you make homemade rolls, you will not buy them from the store again.

Ingredients:

3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
3 Tablespoons nonfat dry milk
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup lukewarm water
1/2 cup lukewarm milk
melted butter, for brushing on top

Directions:

1. In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients except for the melted butter, and stir until you have a soft dough. Knead, using your hands or a stand mixer, until you form a soft smooth dough
2. In a large bowl, make sure it is coated well with oil, place the dough in the bowl, place a tea towel over the bowl and set in a warm place ( on top of your counter) and let it rise for an hour or so. Until it doubles in size. After it doubles in size with your knuckles push down the center of the dough, and place it on a well floured work surface.
3. Divide the dough into 16 equal pieces, by dividing in half , then in halves again, etc. round each piece into a smooth ball
4. Lightly grease 2 (8 or 9) inch round cake pans and arrange 8 buns in each pan. Cover the pans with a tea towel and allow the buns to rise for 1 hour until they are crowded against one another and puffy.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees uncover the buns and bake for 22-24 minutes until golden brown on top and they spring back when you touch them. Remove the buns from the oven and lightly brush them with melted butter and serve warm..Enjoy!!!
