Homemade Glazed Blueberry Donuts

So have you ever thought about been intimidated by making donuts from home. Well I have. Until I was at the store and came across Pillsbury Blueberry Biscuits, and thought to myself, I can make donuts with these, and just make a homemade glaze. And I am so glad I did, because they were delicious and for about 2 dollars, we got 8 donuts and 8 donut holes, so much cheaper than the Donut Shop, and well worth it..

Ingredients:

1 ( 16.3 ounce) can Pillsbury Blueberry biscuits
4 cups canola oil, enough to cover about 2 inches in the pan
2 cups powdered sugar
Water ( few tablespoons, enough to make the glaze)
Pastry Tip to cut a hole in the middle of the donut

Directions:

1. Place a medium-large heavy bottom pot over medium-high heat, add the oil making sure it covers 2 inches. Heat the oil to 350 degrees.
2. Meanwhile open the biscuits and separate into the 8 biscuits. Using a large end of a pastry tip, cut a hole in the center of each biscuit. Keep the holes, and fry them up with the donuts. Fry the donuts 2 at a time, also do not let them touch the bottom of the pot or they will burn. Using a slotted spoon let the donuts float in the oil for a few seconds t kinda let them seal the dough before you let them float on their own. Keep an eye on the oil, not letting it get to hot, then cook the donuts a few minutes on the first side then flip the donuts on the other side until they are golden brown in color. Once the donuts are golden brown on each side, take them out and place on paper towel lined plate and let cool for a minute. Repeat with all the donuts until all donuts and holes are cooked.
3. Meanwhile in a medium bowl add the powdered sugar and starting with 1 tablespoon of water, whisk until mixture becomes like a thin glaze, if to thin add more powdered sugar, if to thick then add a little more water. Then dip the top of the donuts and holes into the glaze, and place on a cooling rack. Then Enjoy!!!!
